The Simple Facts

  • MRI procedures cause enormous anxiety in anticipation of, and during,  the process.
  • These emotions often interfere with the MRI process, resulting in their termination prior to completion,  Repeating this process only increases anxiety and costs.
  • For children, the need to lie still for long periods of time, without a parent to entertain or console them, can be impossible, without sedation. For children, an MRI is terrifying.
  • For adults with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Syndrome (PPSD), confinement in such a small space,  often brings back the terrifying  memories of  their time in combat.

The Simple Solution

  • Advanced technology is now available for children, and adults with brain injuries and PTSD, that will eliminate MRI associated anxiety.
  • The use of the In-Bore System allows patients to watch movies or listen to music during the MRI.
  • The system has been proven almost 95% effective in distracting children and adults, from the “pounding sound” of the MRI procedure and the associated claustrophobia.
  • Importantly, this distraction decreases the need to retake many MRI'S and has decreased the need for sedation by almost 60%.
