The Walter Reed Society Congratulates MISSION:M4 On

Three Prestigious Awards

It was my honor to nominate Linda Wolf for the highly prestigious GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARD for the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, which recognizes members who have made a significant difference in the lives of others. I am excited to share that Linda was awarded this tremendous honor which lead to her nomination for the Virginia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Award.

Good deeds do make a difference.  Linda was also awarded the Good Neighbor Award from the State of Virginia.  She was one of 10 agents out of 1.3 million, nationwide, to be recognized by the National Association of Realtors. Through Mission:M4, the charity she started for The Critically Ill Children of the Military, she has donated countless hours and her many talents to achieve, in a few years, what can only be called an enormous milestone for the sick children and their parents who are serving our country.

“What started with an annual ice cream party for her clients to collect toys for sick children has grown into a major project that already affects about 2,300 children a year at Walter Reed alone,” said Senator Pat Roberts in a letter supporting Wolf’s nomination. “That number has increased dramatically with the installation of the system installed at Tripler. There is no limit to the number of children and adults that will benefit from her efforts in the future.”

What is the Good Neighbor Award?

The  Good Neighbor Award celebrates and recognizes a remarkable member who has made a great difference in the lives of others in the hope that this recognition will help raise awareness of each recipient’s important contributions.

Linda's Reflections in Receiving the Award.

Dear Clients, Friends and Family,

I am extremely honored to have been recognized by three real estate industry associations for my work with Mission :M4.  My efforts have truly been inspirational. I am privileged to be able to use the word “Realtor” after my name as it has been through my work as a realtor that I have been privileged to work with so many of our military families. It has helped me to understand the sacrifices made by each soldier serving our great country as well as the sacrifices made by their families.  They move from place to place, school to school and sick children from doctor to doctor and hospital to hospital. Too often parents are without family support which is particularly difficult during a family crisis.   This is not only difficult for the child but for the parents left to maneuver the many facets involved in a family crisis.  Often times other military families become the main source of support.
Without the support of the staff of the children’s unit at Walter Reed, The Walter Reed Society and Senator Roberts, I would have accomplished very little.  Certainly, without your donations, Mission:M4 would never have gotten off the ground.  I hope you will consider, once again, donating to this very special cause in support of our military families via the link below. We have so much more we can do.

In closing, please know that I am very grateful for the honor and responsibility you have bestowed upon me as your  realtor through your loyalty and your many referrals.

"We are thrilled to announce that one system has already been installed in the Children's Radiology Unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center  and  Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii.    MISSION:M4 hopes to facilitate the installation of systems  throughout the country in military and veteran hospitals."
